The transition captins were clue less did not know where to get helmets if folks needed to borrow one. Did not understand the relay pins and where to go. I had to convince the officials to open top gate in transition to let folks got in & out to portholes. It made things much easier. I ran around to find things out when I first got there at 5 am. Also had me down for wrong shift time. I volunteered early and signed up for early shift because I was also racing.
Body mark the kids even putting the markers on a table by packet pickup and let parents mark them. Trying to read a little #on a wrist band is nearly impossible. Your transition captains were horrible. Clueless didn't know where to get/ borrow forgotten goggles helmets. Had no clue what to do with relay participants. I walked all the relay kids to the finish line to get there medals and unite them with parents. They had how many laps bike laps the kids and mini were doing. I had to pull up the coarse maps to figure that info out. They didn't know. I run transition for an ohio tri event company make me a captain I will do the homework.
