I was more interactive with the families and kids that uses the space at Vidant! While Kenya was doing lot of baking, Gino let me take over checking families in, giving tours, and answering the phone!
Saturday, I was able to really help clean the facility! We did have a lot of families come in so I had to replenish some of the beverages, clean the playroom a little more, and bake goods!
During this volunteer day, I was able to observe bingo and see some of the residents win and have a great time! I rearranged some items in the pantry, cleaned the playroom for the kids, and also cleaned the bathroom. I made sure to stock the fresh bakery items, and clean the microwaves as well.
During this volunteer day, I was able to give tours, clean and sanitize the playroom for the kids! I also threw out some of the perishable items that were baked.
I was able to attend the Fall Festivity day that they had for the kids! We played games, and just talked with them as well. They definitely enjoyed us being there and letting them have fun with us.
