    My Reflection

    This year I got to experience the annual fall carnival at Travis Height Elementary. It was fun to engage with the students through play and imagination with their creative costumes for Halloween. I'm glad that the school provides the students a safe place to trick or treat and just have fun.

    I participated in a baby shower drive for three mothers that use Austin Life Care as a resource for mothers and babies in need. This experience was special because we got to meet the ladies and get to know them and their culture while obtaining the things they will need and then presenting them with their gifts. The baby shower was private and intimate to ensure the women's safety and comfort were at the forefront of our offerings.

    Holiday Heroes Project

    Our Holiday Heroes was a fun and creative time to really show people we don't know our appreciation for the service they give to the US. 

    Thoughtful Thursday was designed to increase motivation and spirit uplift around campus. I dedicated an hour plus of my time writing encouraging sticky notes and asking other students if they wanted to create one and then post it anywhere on campus hoping that someone may run across that message that needed it. Or you could leave it for a friend unexpectedly.

    On Military Monday I dedicated an hour of my time in Jester to collecting letters and creating a poster board where students could sign showing their appreciation for our veterans.
