Got to clean up the creeks near the IM field with the Texas Royals and Phi Kappa Tau fraternity! it was a great time serving the community with awesome weather and friends. Can't wait to do it again.
Went down to 6th Street with the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity to hand out water bottles to people on their way home, homeless people and anyone else that needed water. Great experience to be helping the people of Austin to have fun but also stay healthy.
Showed up a little early to see if the weather would hold and I can say I'm really happy it did. Today we had a guest speaker named Kirby Frye who builds permaculture homes. He tought us just about everything there is to know about sustainability and to be honest I didn't know these things were possible. Again, Im really happy I got the chance to go to concho and right now theres a chance the garden may get destroyed and I'm really hoping that doesn't happen. Awesome time!
Im glad conch has become a teaching environment because I feel more I engaged. I also enjoyed my time at concho last year but now its more beneficial to me because I feel like I get to learn. Awesome time!
I had a great time making care packages for the homeless and getting a break from finals studying. Well worth it and met some cool people.
Very good experience helping at the concho garden as usual.
Did some weeding and organizing of the garden. Also watered plants and moved some dirt around the garden. overall good experience.
This trip to the concho garden involved placing some pegs around the garden. I also did some other yard work with planting seeds and other various tasks. I really like serving in the garden because it lets me get in touch with the outdoors while meeting people and serving the community. Overall great experience.
