I helped make deserts and soup for the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association). The process of baking and preparing the deserts took about three hours in total. On Sunday, I sold the soup at a local Exon gas station! I had to be there early to set up the area inside. I sold soup from (really started around 10:30 ish) 11 am from 3 pm! All proceeds went to the MDA.
On December 5, 2020, I and others were ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. We decided to ring the bell outside of our local Hobby Lobby in Greensboro. The timeframe was between 10 am to 3 pm, so for 5 hours. I really enjoyed ringing the bell, the only downfall was the chilly weather!
This roadside clean up event was personal and organized to help the environment. I could encourage many people to adopt a road/highway and clean around their community as well! We (my group and I) helped clean disposed litter on November 7, 2020.
I helped the elderly and weaker people out this summer and after I got back home from ECU. I helped out these members of my community in various ways. For example, I helped get essentials for them (since they can't because of COVID), do some of their yard work, and clean their house (for no profit). Of course, I made sure to wear a mask at all times! I did these activities from mid-July to around late September to early October. I cannot quite put an accurate amount of hours but 5 seems like an underestimate.
