I enjoyed giving a cash donation to the community and helping others in need.

Today I helped with the professional development workshop. We had résumé, critiques, a headshot special, performances from couture, as well as a business professional outfit fashion show.  This was a great event and I enjoyed helping out and being a part of this event. 

Being able to intern under Dr. Pridgen and Certified Nurse Midwife Michelle through Prisma Health has allowed me to gain expeirence in midwifery , and obstetrician gynecology. I felt that this was the career goal I wanted to go after , however this program confirmed my final career goal , Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. While Interning , I scrubbed into surgeries that consisted of : Caesarean sections , Abdominal myomectomy, Total laparoscopic hysterectomy ,Operative laparoscopy with bilateral salpingectomy and D and C hysteroscopy with endometrial ablation ,Operative hysteroscopy with resection of submucosal fibroids, circumcisions , and More than 3 Vaginal Births. I also experienced the office setting of Labor and Delivery. I worked with patients who had concerns of women health & pregnancy. While experiencing this I learned that my true connection was with the child. I enjoyed learning about the aftercare of infants and the motherly connection that they have. This included breastfeeding , vital sings of the baby, the circumcision process etc. This program was not a payed program but did provide service hours. I throughly enjoyed this program and the lessons and knowledge I gained from it.
