T’Asia Smalls

I had a wonderful experience getting to make shoes for the children in Uganda. This was one of my favorite service projects because I knew the work we were doing, while small to us, was really impactful for those kids. We weren't just conducting community service, but contributing to the hope and healing we brought to Uganda.

I got the opportunity to spend time with children at the community center and provide them with school supplies for the upcoming school year. We all helped them start a community garden growing plants and vegetables they could tend to over time. It was such a pleasure to spend time with each of the kids and see the joy we brought to them.
