Things went well upon arrival, helped set up stations for returning riders, water monster, background Unbound background for pictures, moved tents, and assisted in handing out items when riders passed the finish line. And tried to stay dry :) Everyone worked together and all the Staff was great at getting things accomplished, especially with the disruption of the weather. Another great experience.
Thanks,
Gilbert

I didn't know to go to check-in. I went behind the Gravel City parking lot as the email directed.
I finally was directed to HQ. I then was advised to man the information both on 8th street. I met with Ethel. She then filled me in on common questions and answers for riders and attendees. I would have liked a Q&A sheet of common questions prior to the event. It would have helped me answer questions better. I staffed the booth myself and had to call Ethel a few times with questions I could not answer.
At 5:15 I was directed to help with food delivery to volunteers with Brandon. I then assisted with teardown. Moved trashcans, transported the background photo background setup, tables, and trash, carried flags, and electrical covers, and assisting with electrical cable storage, moved sandbags and assisted any volunteers or leaders. Overall, I really enjoyed helping. All volunteers and staff, especially Jacob. He would check on me and give me tasks. Really friendly guy.
I mannes the information booth on 8th street. I would have liked information on questions and answers for the riders prior to working. I was briefed by Ethel but I still had to call a few times with rider questions I didn't know. I also had to man the booth by myself. Overall it was a great experience and I would do it again.
