I absolutely loved volunteering with my son (8) at the finish line & honestly can't wait for the next event my husband runs just to be a volunteer again! We had a ton of fun & made wonderful friends.
The event ran well, the space & lunch we got was above & beyond!
The only area of growth I saw was the swag. While all of the 'stuff' was great & we did an amazing job at recycling & composting everything we could. The majority of trash was from the packaging of the finisher cups & metals. Each was individually wrapped in non recyclable plastic film & the cups in an individual box also. Not a deal breaker at all - I mean we had a very small environmental impact overall, but this is just an area of growth down the road.
