For my organization I led our participants to Hope Fest where we taught elementary students from under served and underrepresented backgrounds about personal hygiene and health. We were able to connect and talk to the children on a personal level and play games with them that employed health care principles.
Volunteered at the Student National Medical Association Annual conference that was held in austin this year. Though I was volunteering I was able to network with different dental schools and learn about their programs. I also talked to doctors, student doctors and undergrad students like me all over the united states.
Volunteered under BHPO for Explore UT.
A great experience, we got to play coach and play basketball with kids for the PAL APD program.We spoke to them about the importance of academics to stress the importance of academics over athletics
Was able to shadow Dr. Frazier at Frazier Dentistry. During this time I was able to watch and take note of many procedures.
