    Volunteer Opportunities at The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Command

    I had an amazing time serving in the Salvation Army kitchen. I worked alongside my Spelman sisters to prepare and serve lunch and dinner. It was great hearing from the Salvation Army workers about why they chose their careers, and seeing the joy on people's faces at seeing young volunteers motivated me to continue serving.

    SpelREADS Literacy Program

    Being a SpelREADS tutor was truly an amazing experience. I was glad to be able to watch Jurel grow from a shy eleven-year-old to Mr. MAJ, King of the School. I am going to miss hanging out with him and his creativity every week. I am grateful for this opportunity and would love to participate again.
