Today I worked with a group of others to unpack boxes and donated food and repackage them into banana boxes. In the end, we were able to sort through 6797 pounds of food, which will feed 5000 families in GA.

I was able to operate a pallet jack and help dispose of trash to assist the volunteer leads in packing food boxes. With these boxes, at least 1000 GA families will have food for Thanksgiving.

In a group of 4, me and my Spelman sisters worked as a team to cut open boxes of donated food, organize the food by category, and repack those items into boxes that will go to families in need. It was extremely rewarding to hear that our boxes would feed over 2,000 families in Georgia.
