I wish Lifetime would just remove my section of the course - Leadville junction to Carter Summit - from public volunteer hour opportunity....or at least remove from the last cattle guard to Carter Summit from public clean up. I have been cleaning this section up since the late 90's. I was doing it before you got any kind of credit for doing it. I clean up the course, not just remove the pink ribbons, flags and signs. I pick any and all trash on the course. I will walk 10-20 feet off the trail to remove the bottles/cans from our beautiful forest.

I have cleaned up the course since 2000. I was doing it before there was an organized effort to clean it up and before there was any kind of lottery preference. I start at the first dirt portion (Hwy 9c) all the way to Carter Summit. I have a small UTV and can go around the green gate to get all of the course. I pick up all trash, not just the racer trash.
