During this service, I had the opportunity to support the mission of Urban Recipe by filling 110 boxes with groceries, supporting not only their 110 mobile pantry families, but also their 287 co-op members and their families (about 1,000 people).
I really enjoyed coming back to the food bank this Thursday. I worked the check-out desk again so I knew exactly what to do and was able to jump into my role very quickly. It was nice talking to the different families, especially since I remembered some of them from my last visit.
All of the staff was really nice and it was very easy to help people. I had the job of checking people out and it was really nice to help out families in need.
