I had the chance to volunteer at the Marietta location for the very first time! I assisted in helping people bag their food and take their groceries out to their car! It was wonderful helping the community gain access to food!

I really enjoyed my experience at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, working with the packing and distribution center. During this experience I check people in, reschedule appointments, and assisted people who needed information about making an appointment. It was very different from working inside, which is what I did the previous time. I choose this community service because I believe addressing food insecurity is very important and something that should be prioritized more. Getting to know the senior volunteers and staff was the most interesting part of the entire experience. I'm glad I volunteered there and I hope that I will be able to go back after spring break.
