Today I helped prepare for their annual Festival of Lights event. I helped paint plates with many different designs that would be combined to look like holiday-themed Christmas candy. Cellophane will be wrapped around and tied on the ends to complete the look.

This experience was great. I was able to help all different types of individuals such as the elderly. I helped wheel people to and from their rooms for the auction. I also helped two individuals specifically with their butter beans to help them bid and win items. It was a sweet and memorable experience to see each person's reactions.

I volunteered at the 6th annual Pink Ribbon Run 5k race and 1-mile walk. This event raises awareness and funds for local individuals battling breast cancer and their families. I enjoyed handing out goody bags to racers. I also cheered and directed the 1-mile walkers to the finish line. At the end, we went around and collected all the race signs along the course. This experience was excellent and I look forward to helping them out again at their next big event.

Today I helped out with Make A Difference Day. The group I volunteered with was the NC Stop Human Trafficking. We went around Greenville and passed out flyers to bring awareness to human trafficking. We also went to where the business was located and helped them. Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to reaching back out to them to volunteer.
