The Army ROTC battalion’s very own community service engagement committee held an event for army cadets to show their support towards the battalion by repainting the cadet lounge. This was the first step in redecorating the army cadet lounge for optimal usage and a fun space.
It was lots of fun as we all came together to move furniture out of the room and paint different parts of the walls. I’m really excited to witness the final outcome!
We gathered at the garden at 1pm and got to know everyone and the history of both the church and garden. Understanding what we were working to achieve made the clearing experience more meaningful to me. I loved the knowledge that people with experience were able to share and the space felt welcoming.
It took me a little while to figure out who to give my rose to and it made me think deeply about who I interact with. This made me realize there are many people who I could show appreciation to but I don’t think about when I should. It was nice to come to a realization and brighten someone’s day.
This was my second time doing parking duty with the Army ROTC battalion. The game was against Cambell University on homecoming day. I worked orange lot, which is a tailgating lot mostly used by alumni in faternities and sorities. I parked cars in the correct location, helped unback from tracks/ trailers, and set up their spots for the game. I was a lot of fun because I was not only able to help but also talk to other people who went to the school and hear about their experiences. October 29th is also my birthday so it wasn’t exactly how I originally planned to spend my birthday, but in the end it was worth getting up early and staying longer than expected. After my shift I was able to watch some of the game on the side of the feild with the rest of my army battles (the video shared) We also were able to go back to the lot to get food from the people we assisted throughout the day
I volenteered with the Aggie Battalion to work parking duty for the footabll game against Edward Waters Univeristy. I worked in blue lot, which was enjoyable because most of the supporters already knew the correct way to park. They also had food and music due to blue lot being a tailgate lot. It was my first time doing parking duty at the school but the cadets I worked with and the people I helped were all very helpful. It was overall a fun experience.

It was held on the 14th. However, you did a great job supporting N+CAT Army ROTC for parking duties
