We were kept busy with set-up! Was good.

Was fun to stuff bags with the other volunteers! Grateful for the pizza lunch and sunscreen.

Was great to meet the other volunteers and get the goodie bags stuffed!

Had a great time and really enjoyed keeping track of all the runners going by. Matt and Gregg were fantastic, really helped keep us volunteers purposeful and upbeat.

was mostly set up when I got there, the instructions were straight forward and it was fun helping people get ready to race!

I really enjoyed cheering on racers and helping at the aid station, but like I wrote above, I would have done a lot differently if I was an organizer or I will do a lot differently if I'm volunteering at the same location next year. It got very, very cold. And very, very wet. And women had to march through the wet snow to pee, whereas men just stood on the road and pissed off of it. Some female race participants used our volunteer tent to swap out of wet clothes. Like I wrote above, a privacy tent / tarp for women to relieve themselves or change clothes or tampons would have made a really big difference.
