Had originally signed up as a chaperone but when I arrived at the finish line they already had enough people working the position, so I continued to help with miscellaneous things throughout the shift including taking the trash, adding ice in coolers, helping with the tents as the storm blew in, etc.

Shift started at 10, however I started much closer to 9. First part of the shift consisted of organizing the retaining gates for the finish line along with setting up the finish line tent. After this was complete I helped add sandbags as needed to the gates as well as to some of the tents that needed it due to the wind. Set up all of the bike racks spread throughout the finish line area along with other miscellaneous tasks through the shift including retrieving ice bags, taking the trash, etc.
Helped setup the start line for the race. consisting mostly of moving tents around, and setting up the retaining gates along with other miscellaneous tasks. As the start of the 200 race was close moved to the start line where I checked in the elite riders to the front.
