G.L.O.W (Girls lending outreach and work) volunteered with hands on Atlanta at Hamilton Holms Elementary school where we chaperoned a school field trip to the Fernbank museum. I had an amazing time, there were enough volunteers to have one on one with the students and I truly enjoyed myself exploring the museum with my student! She was very engaged and truly enjoyed herself. This was personally my second time going to this museum and I loved every bit of it.

Me and my church Living Water Apostolic Ministries made bags containing blankets, toiletries, snacks, hats and gloves and socks, to pass out to the community in Downtown Atlanta. I had an amazing time and I enjoyed coming together for a greater purpose!

G.L.O.W went to the Atlanta track club race on the belt line in Atlanta and supported runners on their 5k or 10k race. I had an amazing time! It was very motivating to see all the different types of people running and encouraging them.

NCNW went to volunteer with Junior achievements where we as volunteers stood as life coaches to small groups of students as they went through a career development simulation. The children we so engaged and they came in knowing their roles and ready to get started. Me and my small group were apart of Delta airlines, and I can say I truly enjoyed myself so much and it was an eye opening experience for me. I personally remember going to JA biztown when I was younger so it was just a full circle moment for me to be that person for other kids like someone was for me.

G.L.O.W. (Girls lending outreach and work) volunteered with Hands on Atlanta at Clay Harmony Leland Elementary school where we worked with the discovery program to lead education programs with the kids. I did the STEAM activity where me and a few other volunteers taught the kids how to pay a game called scattegories and also played a game of this or that (would you rather). Though these are fun games, I really saw how engaged the kids were using their critical thinking skills and creativity through the activity. I enjoyed myself a lot and made some meaningful connections with not only the kids but with other volunteers that were there as well.

    Jesse Hill Market Food Distribution

This volunteer experience was absolutely amazing! I learned so much about food scarcity and insecurity right here in my own community. The staff was so welcoming and I enjoyed learning about the food for medicine program at Grady. I will be going to volunteer again, it was a wonderful experience and all of the faculty were so nice.

This was a great experience. I went to go feed the homeless with my church Living Waters Apostolic Ministries. We passed out a total of 75 plates of food, blankets, and hot soup. I’ve always loved giving back and this was just a wonderful experience!
