The Impact of Social Media and Perfectionism on College Students (Mental Health - SSP Mini Session #3)

The session was really eye-opening. It helped me understand how social media affects self-esteem and how perfectionism can make it worse. And how letting healthy boundaries with social media and being kinder to ourselves is what makes a difference. I learned how to recognize perfectionist thinking and ways to challenge it. Overall, the session made me more aware of these issues and gave me useful tips to handle them better.

This meeting was regarding the 5-year plan competition for a scholarship. And during the meeting, they shared a PowerPoint, and we went over the vision plan, what they were expecting, and how we were able to win. So, I learned more about how to build a plan, and to have an idea of what i wanted in my future

    Spring 2025 Transfer Fair (Virtual)

The Transfer Fair was a very helpful event for learning about different four-year institutions and the transfer process. It was great to meet representatives from various schools and get firsthand information about transfer requirements, scholarships, and academic programs. The opportunity to ask questions and explore different options made the experience even more valuable.

I attended the DMSI Spring Semester Blastoff on February 6th at the Largo Campus. It was a helpful event that gave me access to academic advising, tutoring, and information about scholarships and internships. I also got to connect with mentors and other students in the program. The event motivated me to stay focused and work toward my goals this semester.
