I attended Ms. Arnita’s clothing boutique, where I picked up some free clothes and met other students interested in fashion. Found some new skirts to add to my wardrobe!

I participated in the Careers in STEM webinar hosted by the Girls in Cyber club. At this event, I heard from several IT professionals and got advice for applying for jobs, the impact of the rise of AI, and navigating the IT profession.

I participated in the final PGCC career fair of the semester. At this fair, I spoke to employers and nonprofits who alerted me to opportunities to use my skill set in the travel industry.

I attended the Girls in Cyber event, where I learned about opportunities for employment in the most rapidly advancing sectors of AI. I also learned a new fun fact: women make up 22% of cybersecurity teams in the US. Let’s increase that number!

I participated in the second career fair, where I spoke to different employers to get a sense of what they were looking for in potential employees.

At this minisession, I learned important tips for applying for jobs and improving my resume to appeal to employers. An important tip was to have different resumes for different job industries.

I attended the CD&I Virtual Career Fair, where I connected with professionals and prospective employers to network, explore job opportunities, and gain experience interviewing. I enjoyed this event and have scheduled to follow up with a company I am interested in!

Thank you for this training! I got a refresher on how to log hours on GivePulse, how to see upcoming events, and a reminder to cancel my registration for events I will not be able to attend.

For two hours, I participated in the Hack4Impact held at PGCC at the guidance of my A+ Computer Hardware professor. I gained experience collaborating with IT professionals to draft a prototype for an app. I personally got to help design the student-side UI.

At this session, I got a refresher on the requirements for PGCC Promise and got some new updates.
