I was able to work in the nursery again this year, but at a higher capacity. There were new directors over the nursery this year, so it was a little less organized but still fun. I really felt the impact of our service this year through connections with the children from last year and gratitude expressed to my church for all the help.
I had a great time volunteering with my fellow Henderson Scholars and giving back to the community.
I got to work with Native kids in the Indian Falls Creek Nursery for both the morning service and evening service. Although I was very nervous in the beginning, I found myself enjoying my time with the kids and babies.
Had a great time cleaning the community garden and the library.
I had a great time helping set up the games and decorating various spaces!
I aided the cooks and other staff running the tournament. I helped keep the water station fresh and helped cook the food for coaches, players, and others.
