This was a really meaningful opportunity from American Red Cross to make a direct impact in my community. It not only helped provide lifesaving resources to those in need, but also allowed me to develop leadership and organizational skills while encouraging others to get involved in a cause bigger than themselves!
Volunteering as a prom guide at a special needs prom was such a rewarding opportunity to connect with others in a meaningful way. It gave me the chance to help create a fun, welcoming environment where everyone felt included and celebrated. Through this experience, I also grew in patience, empathy, and learned how important it is to make space for people of all abilities to feel valued.
Volunteering to play Jeopardy with residents at Cypress Glen Retirement Community was such a fun and meaningful opportunity. It created a space for connection, laughter, and friendly competition, while also helping me build relationships with the residents. This experience showed me how impactful small moments can be and gave me a greater appreciation for spending time with older generations!
