End of Semester Meeting [Mandatory] (Tuesday PM)

The information session was very enlightening. It addressed most of my concerns about staying on track with the Promise Scholarship. One thing I really appreciated was how well it was organized. At the end, we had a Q&A session where most of our questions were answered.

The DSC pajama holiday party was so much fun! We celebrated under the hollow tree—an amazing night out, all dressed in pajamas and ready to party. There were so many variations of food: chicken, eggs, grits, and waffles. It was all so good, and I still remember it vividly.

The workshop was very informative, I am more than certain I learned a new skill today, the main concept that was talked throughout the session was Professionalism, which is like acceptable behaviours at work.

The Bowie State tour was an absolute blast! I enjoyed every moment of it and was genuinely surprised by how much history the school holds. I got to visit the gaming center and the gym, explored the cafeteria, and toured the student dorms. It was an amazing experience from start to finish

SGA Town Hall Meeting and Q&A with the President In-Person

I had an amazing time at the Q&A session Our president took the stage by surprise introducing everyone with great energy and enthusiasm. Dr. Falecia Williams then responded to several questions submitted by students. Most of the concerns were about vending machines not dispensing items properly, and some were related to broken accessibility buttons used to open doors. That sums up most of the discussion. I had fun, enjoyed a great meal, and left feeling happy.

    ReFresh Session (4th session)

I am so glad to be a part of this massive community of students, it’s truly inspiring to be around passionate .The session was really informal, the focus was on maintaining good standing for the scholarship, and I gained a clear understanding of the expectations thanks to the interactive format, especially the use of Kahoot, which made the experience both fun and memorable. One of the key takeaways was the requirement to complete 15 engagement service hours each semester. Additionally, students must attend two mandatory meetings per semester, including this refresh meeting, and participate in at least two out of five themed mini sessions

End of Semester Meeting [Mandatory] (Tuesday)

I am glad I was able to attend the session. It was a recap of the things we need to do to maintain perfect standing with the scholarship. I recall someone mentioning certain programs that have a limited number of classes, preventing them from earning 30 credits per year. I honestly love the approach taken in the session. At the very end, we were given a platform for asking questions.
