In this wonderful workshop, I learn about my growth toolkit which is self-awareness, ownership, and adjustment, now, I often think negative about myself and sometimes I always says to myself, “oh I’m a failure, I make too much mistakes” but I learn from the speaker I have to turn those thoughts around, I have to reframe the situation and I am slowly doing that and it’s been helping me more better now.

In this mini section, I about the dos and don’ts for an interview because I honestly have one coming up. I learn I have to keep eye contact which is something I have trouble with but I will start practicing on that, I also learn to never give a one word answer. I also learn about when thinking of a weakness, I must try to say something that won’t impact my chances of getting accepted.
I had joined two different events that aren’t listed here but I completely forgot how to so, this meeting was very helpful to understand the process of putting hours on events that isn’t listed here by adding it on my own.
In this section, I learned about what is a cover letter which is a very detailed document that talks about me with more information experience with the field I choose. I learned to don’t never repeat my resume word per word, but to keep the cover page a ONE page only. I always wonder what I should put at the end of the cover page and that’s when I learn to thank the team or manager for their time.
In this meeting, I learned about what I should and shouldn’t put in my resume. I have already made one but looking back at it I knew I needed more and this meeting helped me to understand things like putting down any skills that is ONLY relevant to the job I want to do. I should also add my previous work job and add strong action words to help my resume more.
In this session, I learned about how I can earn hours since I wasn't doing that at all, but I think I know how to gain hours for this semester, and I know it is 15 engagement hours for each semester. I also learn to always check my Gmail for anything from the school or in the program.
Today I learned about the due date for the FSFSA since I have yet to complete it. I also learned about the difference between academic recovery and program recovery. I also learned about some deadlines that I had questions about and lucky, I got everything on time but my hours and I know that is a requirement.
In this session, I learned about how having a LinkedIn is a good way to have a professional account if you are looking for a job or for anyone to find you. One of the green flag for employers is community involvement and I didn’t know that’s a helpful thing at first but knowing that if you volunteer in anything that you care about can have a good impact in your resume.
Today, I learn about how to go back into the classic view on GivePulse because the new one is giving me problems, but I also learn how to put in hours for an event that isn't in the program's list.
In this Refresh Session, I have learned how I can gain more hours like going to 2 mini sessions, going to events in PGCC, join clubs or even represent PGCC as a leader to events and I also learned that events outside of PGCC do NOT count as hours, only inside of PGCC.
