A group of myself and other members of the NCAT NSBE chapter went to NC State to volunteer at the RTP NSBE Jr event they were hosting. At the event, I helped carry and pass out pizzas, as well as chaperone and guide middle school students to their activities. It was an amazing experience, and I had a lot of fun!
I had a great time being part of the E-panel for Byte by Byte, where I had the chance to talk to middle school students at Western Guilford Middle School. It was really rewarding to share advice on things like problem-solving, staying persistent when challenges arise, and the importance of always learning and growing. The students were eager to learn, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It felt good to help them think about their future and offer guidance on how to approach learning and self-improvement. I left feeling inspired and motivated, and it reminded me how important it is to support younger students as they develop their skills and explore new interests.
Volunteering for the East Market Street clean-up was a rewarding experience that reinforced the importance of community effort and environmental responsibility. Seeing the amount of litter firsthand made me more aware of the impact of waste and the need for proper disposal. Working alongside others fostered a sense of unity, and it was fulfilling to see the immediate difference we made. This experience motivated me to be more mindful of my habits and inspired me to encourage others to take part in keeping our environment clean.
I had a great experience volunteering with Greensboro Beautiful to clean up around campus. It was inspiring to contribute to our community and work alongside others dedicated to making a positive impact. On this MLK Day, it’s a reminder of the power of service and unity. Happy MLK Day!
Participating in the Greensboro Hunger Crop Walk was an incredible experience. I enjoyed walking alongside my fellow Aggies and many other participants, all coming together to fight hunger. The event made me reflect on how we are all connected in the battle against hunger, both locally and globally, and how even the smallest acts of solidarity can make a big difference.
Donating $10.52 to the Greater Greensboro Crop Hunger Walk makes me feel good knowing I'm helping fight hunger and support those in need. Even though it’s a small amount, I believe every bit counts, and I’m glad to contribute to something meaningful.
