Made volcanoes with the young girls of Joyner Elementary School in Greensboro.
I served at the Operation Christmas Child processing center in Charlotte, where volunteers we worked together to sort, inspect, and pack shoebox gifts. These boxes are prepared with care and prayer before being sent to children around the world, sharing hope, joy, and the message of God’s love during the Christmas season. Ths years gifts that I helped pack are being sent to Peru and Panama.
Separated and Sorted Produce and Bread and gave to families of Greensboro!
Closed out the semester with a presentation of ice cream in a bag with the young girls in the Girls Club at Brightwood Elementary.
Made smores tectonic plates with the young ladies in GIrls Club at Brightwood Elementary!
Wrote one letter to, a middle/highschooler wishing them luck on there journey.
Created bottle rockets with the young ladies of the Girls Club at Brightwood Elementary!
(Also curated the slideshow presentation as a group)
On October 27th, I marched with NSP and OLCE to the polls. The Greensboro courthouse is the place to vote early in the city elections. I changed my voter registration from Charlotte to Greensboro, and it was my first time voting outside of my hometown. It was nice to see others doing the same to fight for change.
