Learned about the legislative process and how it relates to student advocacy. Got to know how we as student advocates can influence change in our community college and community colleges around the state of Maryland. Also got started on my pitch introduction and will be completing that over the break.

Got information about the scholarship program for next semester. Got reminders about registration deadlines. Requirements for this semester and the school year were also discussed as well as graduation.

Donated hygiene products for the feminine drive. Overall rewarding experience.

Was presented with multiple scenarios on the importance of social media presence. Got to understand that everything posted on the internet is permanent. Also got to reflect on my social media and was encouraged to build a LinkedIn profile.

Had a short training in the morning to prepare us for the rest of the day. Got to hang up signs for where trainings would take place. Spent the rest of the day giving employees directions on where to go for trainings. Overall, a fun experience.

Informative and encouraging session. Got to hear about the new STRIVE program and how it can benefit young men and women. Was encouraged by hearing others share their experiences and it gave a feel of what to expect with the new program. I plan on getting more involved with the program.

I learned about what to expect for the next semesters. I also got the answer to a question I had about the summer semester and financial aid. I got information on what it means to be in good standing with the scholarship.

I continued to send texts whenever new campaigns came out throughout the week. I also responded to voters who asked about the campaign.

I learned about the importance of have a LinkedIn profile as a college student. I learned that it is important to have a profile where you can connect with employers and showcase your skills. I also learned how to create a profile and how to make your activity meaningful.
