It was really nice getting to see the amazing things the middle schoolers and Harrison are doing and I was genuinely intrigued by some of their projects. Like Bella and Lyric’s children’s book that parallels and speaks to a child’s growth into adulthood and the curious and deep desire to explore the world that comes with that. Or Hannah’s cyber project in which she determined a solution for AI data leakages and security vulnerabilities. And Ahou’s project to determine ways to technology to benefit the environment. Everyone I met today is incredibly and I hope to learn not just more about what they’re doing and where they’re going, but who they are as people and I look forward to doing that over the next few weeks.

I had a fun time playing trivia and drawing with Mrs. Grace, Mrs. Constance and Mrs. Deb! I hope they enjoyed the experience as much as I did. It was also nice getting to spend time with them because it reminded me the time I didn't get to spend with my Great Grandmother who also had dementia, but passed away from it in 2020. I also enjoyed doing the puzzle with them after! I'd love to do something like this again.

During the early afternoon on the 15th of August, from 1:00 and 3:30, I volunteered and assisted in the development of the Jackson Middle School STEM program by picking up trash around the school's grounds and by sorting robotics equipment.
