2026 Chicago Half Marathon + 5K

I had a great time volunteering at the half marathon and supporting all the participants who worked extremely hard to run. We worked hard to cheer everyone on and bring as much support as we could to the day.

I helped table for the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Registry with the Jewish Student Union to bring awareness to the organization. Educating and bringing more people to appreciate the cause they stand for was impactful. I will continue to contribute my time and hopefully donate one day to a patient in need.

I volunteered for an hour at the Soft Tissue Clinic at MWU-CCOM treating a student with osteopathic manipulation. I had a great experience getting hands on learning experience from the patient directly and from other faculty members. I will be able to bring this knowledge into my career moving forward and build upon the treatment techniques I have been learning thus far.

I volunteered at the Soft Tissue Clinic at Midwestern for an hour and it was a great experience. It was my first time volunteering with another M1 and while I was nervous to be volunteering without an M2 to help, it went really well and I learned how to take the lead and have confidence in myself with diagnosing and treatment plans. Treating a peer who gave me great feedback was helpful in the moment and for I will use it going forward.

I volunteered at the CCOM Osteopathic Soft Tissue Clinic for an hour diagnosing, treating, and educating our patient. It was a great experience to apply what we are learning in school into practice and real patient interaction. I really enjoyed getting to work with other students that I haven't had a chance to meet yet and helping the patient understand what we were doing and why we were doing the selected treatements.

I volunteered at the KEEN adaptive sports event helping children with disabilities exercise. It was a great experience and I had so much fun playing sports with the kids and making sure they had a great time. It was meaningful to give back to the community and I would love to continue volunteering with these amazing kids.

I volunteered at the Soft Tissue Clinic on Wednesday November 5th from 3:30-4:30. It was my first shift and it was a great experience getting to work with and treat a CCOM student. The M2 I was with made me feel very comfortable for the first shift and I got to diagnose and treat with soft tissue and muscle energy. The patient was very respectful and understanding. Putting my knowledge to use was a great way to help the community I'm part of.
