Attended the zoom meeting "End of Semester Meeting". The coordinators went through what it takes to mantain the scholarship. Went through the opportunities that we had for the engagement hours and how we don't need to do engagement hours during the summer and winter semester. We had a little poll asking us stuff that was talked about throughout the meeting. The meeting ended with questions from students.

I attended the final STRIVE 360 workshop of the semester, titled “Reflections & Forecasting,” where we reflected on our experiences and set goals for the future. At the beginning of the Zoom meeting, we completed an attendance form, and at the end, we filled out a feedback form to share our thoughts on the session. The workshop emphasized the importance of self-awareness, goal-setting, and improving habits moving forward.
We learned the difference between AS, AA, and AAS. They also gave us examples of which career fall in each category, and when it’s needed to take a transferable career. In the end, they also provided us with resources on pathways.
I attended the STRIVE Power Circle session, “Combatting Comparison,” led by Ms. Katrina through Zoom. During the meeting, we discussed why people compare themselves to others, how social media can increase those comparisons, and the differences between jealousy and envy, which helped me reflect on focusing more on my own progress. At the end of the session, Ms. Katrina also provided an attendance form and a post-meeting survey for feedback.
I attended the STRIVE 360 Workshop, “Developing a Healthy Self-Image and Self-Worth,” through Zoom, where we discussed self-love, shame, doubt, and imposter syndrome. The part about imposter syndrome specifically caught my attention because it explained how people can feel like they do not deserve their success or feel incapable, even when they are qualified. We completed an attendance form at the beginning of the meeting and a feedback form at the end to reflect on what we learned.
I attended the STRIVE 360 Workshop, “Establishing Competitive Edge,” through Zoom, where I learned that leadership is defined by actions and impact rather than titles. We completed a Competitive Gap Analysis activity, and Ms. Katrina instructed us to log two hours since the meeting ended after 5:30 p.m. Overall, the workshop reinforced the importance of authenticity, initiative, and continuous self-improvement in building a competitive edge. We completed an attendance and survey form at the end.
I attended the SGA Town Hall and Q&A with the President virtually, where campus leaders shared updates on student government initiatives, academic support resources, advocacy efforts, and upcoming events. The discussion highlighted how student voices influence funding decisions, policy development, and access to resources such as tutoring, the Writing Center, and scholarships. This meeting helped me better understand how the college supports student success and encourages active student engagement.
Attended the meeting “Interest Meeting: How to advocate with your own voice about your challenges” by NAMI On Campus through Zoom. We started out with the leaders of the group introducing themselves and they went on to explain that we’re specifically going to go over 3 instances where we can advocate ourselves and how. We went into breakout rooms talk about one of the three topics and kept rotating breakout rooms until all the students went over all 3 topics. The first room consisted of advocating as a college student. The second consisted of advocating in your family home, which I especially took away how important boundaries are within a family. The third room consisted of advocating in public spaces. We also did a sign in form.
Attended the “Write it Right - Cover Letter Workshop” through Zoom. Ms. Dyone Payne explained to us what a cover letter was. The comparison between a resume and a cover letter. I specially remember when she said “Think of your cover letter and resume as a dynamic duo”. She then showed us two different formats we could write the cover letter in. There’s two ways, storyline format and the 5 W’s method. Shen then went to show us detailed explanation for each part of the cover letter with her own personal example. We finished the meeting with a survey.
Attended the virtual STRIVE 360 Workshop “Next Level Academic Strategies”. We started about opportunities. We started the meeting off talking about opportunities and Mr. Heat said something that resonated with me deeply. He said “The way you maximize opportunities will create you more opportunities”. We also talked about our 3 best and worst habits from last semester. We then mentioned our environment, making connections on campus, and how important it is to befriend aspirational people. Mr. Heat highlighted how we shouldn’t compare ourselves since we are all unique to our own person. We finished it off with an attendance form.
