I really enjoyed this opportunity to give back and donate. Upon arrival to the drop off location we met a man by the name of Omar. He was very kind, dropping advice and knowledge that only comes around once in a blue moon. I enjoyed seeing the rest of the school, seeing children engaged in multiple activities that were beneficial but fun.
I enjoyed being part of a service that was dedicated towards feeding people for thanksgiving, especially during a time where financial stability is not guaranteed.
Once again, Backpack Beginnings was a great opportunity to give back while also bonding with my fellow pss members!
This community service event was warming to say the least. Interacting with kids and their families as they got ready for the Halloween weekend was something that I greatly enjoyed. Being able to assist families during holidays is very important to me. The goal of this community service event was to make the kids happy and comfortable. Provide them with a safe place to interact and enjoy the festivities of Halloween without worrying about other personal matters.
This was an amazing community service event. I loved working hands on with the preschoolers because I could see how much they appreciated the activity as well as the company. Interacting with children that little often help me with my communicative skills as well as my patience. Being able to educate or stimulate there little brains on things is what I like most because they are the future just as much as we are
