Be a vital part of the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s efforts to combat hunger in food-insecure areas! Our Community Food Center in Atlanta is a direct-distribution pantry that depends on the dedication of volunteers to ensure our shelves are stocked, our space is clean, and our neighbors receive the essentials they need. direct-distribution Your role will involve a variety of essential tasks, including stocking shelves, bagging produce and grains, unloading and unpacking food donations, daily cleaning, and restocking fridge and freezer items. You may be assigned to sort products into boxes for the GA Nutritional Assistance Program (GNAP) distribution program.

 Please keep in mind that this happens in the warehouse room so, if you are uncomfortable with being in a small space please disclose this information to the staff when you arrive to volunteer. Volunteers may also trained to use a manual pallet jack to assist with moving pallets. Every shift you join brings us closer to meeting the urgent needs of our community. Ready to make a difference?
