Swipe it Forward Volunteer Registration Spring 2026

In collaboration with Campus Dining Services, the Basic Needs Center is collecting meal swipes to fight food insecurity on campus. Anyone with a meal plan can donate meal swipes.

Swipe it Forward volunteers help our staff promote the program and encourage donations at dining halls around campus. Last semester, over 4,300 meal swipes were donated in just three days! 

Meal swipes will be collected January 27th - 29th at the following locations: 

• C4C Dining Center
• Village Center Dining
• Alferd Packer Grill
• The Alley
• Sewall Dining Center
• SEEC Café 

All volunteers will be expected to attend a volunteer orientation on Monday, January 26th at 5:30pm on Zoom. During this orientation, you will receive more information on your specific roles and schedule yourself for a volunteer shift. Be advised that you will not be overseen during your shift, so your attendance at orientation is essential to be aware of your responsibilities.

Shifts each day are available from 8:30-10:30am, 11am-1pm, and 6-8pm. 

If you have a conflict and cannot attend orientation, you must let us know in advance. Those that do not attend orientation without notice will not be allowed to volunteer for this event.
