The average back to school supply list can cost over $200, which isn't feasible for many families in metro Denver. That's why Mile High United Way is ensuring young people have the supplies they need to start the school year off strong. Join us! You can run a school supply drive with your friends and coworkers or volunteer your time to help make sure the day runs smoothly.

REGISTERING CHILDREN AND TEENS: If you are volunteering with children and teens under 18, they do not need to be registered separately. When adults register they will be asked if they are bringing youth volunteers and can provide more information. Adults and their children/teens must volunteer at the same station. Each person 18 and older needs their own registration.
PARKING INFORMATION: On street parking is available for volunteers who are at Mile High United Way for shifts on weekdays. There is also a paid parking lot directly across the street on Park Avenue.
Volunteers who are at Mile High United Way for Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 1 can park in the parking garage, which is accessed through the parking lot from California. Please take the elevator to the first floor to check in. If the parking lot is full, on street parking is available or there is a paid parking lot across the street.
If you need to have your volunteer hours documented, please contact our team at volunteer@unitedwaydenver.org prior to the event to confirm that this event is compatible with your needs and make arrangements for the documentation.
Volunteers who are serving during the event on August 1 should watch the linked orientation video prior to their shift to learn more about about parking, check-in, safety procedures and what to expect. (The video is approximately 12 minutes and the speed can be adjusted in the settings.)
