CUNITY

CUnity is an annual signature event held as part of CU Boulder's Fall Welcome. The event provides students with an opportunity to connect with one another through identity-affirming activities and cultural programming while fostering a strong sense of belonging and community. CUnity highlights the work of the Center for Cultural Connections & Community's (The Center) four program areas: First-Generation Programs and Enrichment, Intercultural Engagement, Pride, and Education and Social Change, introducing students to the resources, programs, and communities available to support them throughout their CU Boulder experience.

There are two volunteer shifts available, and you are welcome to sign up for one or both. As we get closer to the event, a staff member from The Center will reach out to confirm your shift and assign your volunteer role.

Volunteers may be asked to assist with a variety of event responsibilities, including:

• Checking in students
• Serving food
• Facilitating activities and engagement
• Event setup and breakdown
• General event support as needed

We encourage all volunteers to come prepared and flexible, as assignments may vary based on event needs.

For the day of the event, please:

• Wear your CU name tag (if applicable).
• Feel free to wear cultural or identity-significant attire or accessories if you would like to represent your community.
• Bring a reusable water bottle and sunscreen.
• Be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and lifting approximately 20 pounds, if needed.

Thank you again for volunteering your time to help make CUnity a welcoming and successful experience for our students. We look forward to celebrating with you!
