2022 Leadville Trail Marathon & Heavy Half

I'm happy to be part of such a great event!

This was a fun afternoon pitching in wherever it was needed. It’s a lot of work to clean up after everyone clears out, and I was happy to be able to help make it go faster. It’s always nice to have a group of volunteers to work with, so I appreciated having all four of us held back from course sweeping. Thanks for the enthusiasm and attention to your helpers. You made us feel valued for being there rather than left without direction.

I think that, if you do have course sweeps for this race in the future, maybe specify that showing up to the warehouse or checkin location with a car would be good? We all parked sort of far away for access had we needed to sweep.

You make volunteers feel really valued at the event. Thank you for your enthusiasm and attention to your help. Your new RD is great at caring about the volunteer experience in addition to the runner’s. I appreciate the goodies and food you provide as well.
