Boys & Girls Clubs of Bartow County, Inc. AFTERSCHOOL

I enjoyed my time at the boys and girls club! I hope I was legitimately helpful to them, and the kids were super sweet. If I had more time outside of my job, I would love to come back. Andre and Tacy were great to work with and made me feel welcome.

During this field experience I was able to help the children with their homework, and watch them during the club hours. We colored and worked on sight words and math problems.

Today at the club the students who made clay animals and painted them participated in a pizza party and watched a movie. The other students learned about sugar and caffeine from some of the nursing students at Georgia Highlands College. The kids also had PJ day at school so they were all dressed up!

Today, I colored and drew with the kids. We also did cross word puzzles.

Today the kids had Spanish club and I was able to help them with their work there. I also made even more connections with students!

Today I spent two more hours with the kids at the Boys and Girls Club. Everyone there is so welcoming and the kids always want to do something. The kids asked me if I wanted to play 4v4 basketball with them. I did and it was fun. Great experience today!

I had an amazing time at the Boys and Girls Club. I loved hanging out with the kids, and getting to learn from them.
