Some fellow Aggies and I created a slideshow lesson plan about self-confidence for Northeast Middle School through Black Boy Diary: P.S. I Love Me, aiming to empower students by helping them recognize their self-worth. The lesson incorporated themes that encourage atudents to embrace their strengths, challenge negative self-talk, and develop a positive mindset. Through interactive discussions, reflective exercises, and affirmations, we designed an engaging and supportive environment where students could explore what confidence means to them. Our goal was to inspire them to believe in themselves, value their unique qualities, and carry that confidence into their daily lives.
I was able to work in both Group 1 and Group 7 to create presentations for the Northeast middle schoolers on mental health and conflict resolutions.
Had a amazing time. Great organization.
I enjoyed mentoring and playing with the kids. I look forward to volunteering at Brown Recreation Center.
