Overall very good! Would suggest more large shoe sizes available for clients and coats/jackets and backpacks. Suggest maybe having some companies who cannot financially sponsor to run a clothing or backpack drive. Canned water was not a hit... def go back to bottled water and offer extra for folks to take with them.
I saw that the food services area needed some help, so that is where I spent all of my time.
For the first time, my people really had some things accomplished this day. The biggest difference was each of them had ID's. This made it possible for them to apply for services, and receive information that they will be able to access in the future. The clothing section was lacking, but maybe next time, you could ask for donations from the community ahead of time instead of relying on ARC? The job section was great! It seemed very organized and helpful all around along with information on transitional housing.
The gentleman who spoke at the beginning I couldn't see nor hear so maybe have him on a mic or something next time. Also, I think this would be more beneficial if we could do it each quarter. Some folks might get one thing accomplished, and then they need help again three months later with something else. I realize this is trying to help them work with the services in the community, but the central place idea is really good and could be implemented more often. Just a thought.
