For this impact, I had the privilege of volunteering at the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf's Fall Festival. During this event, I assisted in the cafeteria by helping prepare food, setting up, and serving attendees. I found this experience particularly rewarding as it provided an opportunity to apply my sign language skills in a real-world setting and engage directly with the Deaf community. This interaction was valuable for the growth of both my ASL proficiency and receptive skills.

Leah gave to Spelman Serves
This community service event was Lytehouse's "Bag It and Bless It" initiative, where my peers and I had the opportunity to walk through the West End and collect trash. I found this experience truly rewarding, as the West End contains a lot of waste, and being able to help clean it up felt both impactful and meaningful. Contributing to a cleaner campus and making a positive difference in our community was an experience that truly resonated with me.
