Attending the online school town hall Q&A with the school president was an informative experience. The event provided a clear overview of current school updates, upcoming events, and future goals. I appreciated how the president took time to answer students’ questions directly and she also addressed concerns. I felt it created a stronger sense of transparency. The town hall event helped me feel more confident in the direction PGCC is heading in.
Attending the Spring Transfer Fair was a great experience. I had the chance to explore different universities and learn more about transfer opportunities. I was especially excited to find out that there’s an articulation agreement in the works with the university I’m very interested in. This gave me more confidence about my transfer plans. I also picked up some helpful resources about scholarships, which will be useful.
I had a really nice time at the club fair. It was fun to explore all the different booths and learn about the many organizations on campus. I collected a few flyers and found myself interested in a couple of clubs that I hadn’t heard of before. It was also great to visit my friend’s booth and support her while she explained her club to other students. Overall, the event was enjoyable and a good opportunity to get involved and connect with people who share similar interests.
I really liked the Zoom meeting we had with our scholarship program coordinators. It was super informative and actually kept my attention the whole time. The Kahoot was definitely my favorite part—it made the meeting fun and interactive, and it helped me remember what we talked about. Overall, I enjoyed it and thought it was a great way to stay engaged and learn more about the program.
A few days ago, I attended a meeting for Promise where the program coordinators went over the program expectations and answered everyone’s questions. It was really helpful and gave me a clearer idea of what to expect moving forward. I especially liked the short quiz at the end—it was a nice way to review the key points and make sure we understood everything. Overall, the meeting was well-organized and informative.
My friend and I were invited by the host to the Muslim Student Association event, and it was a really nice experience. Everyone was so welcoming, and the atmosphere felt friendly and relaxed. We spent time painting, chatting, and even learned a few Arabic words. I enjoyed meeting new people and appreciated how open and inclusive the event was. It turned out to be a really fun and peaceful day. Reminded me of how much I loved painting.
I went to the PGCC Women’s Soccer game against the College of Southern Maryland, and it was such a fun experience. The game was pretty competitive. Overall, I had a great time being there. It felt good to support PGCC and makes me want to go to more games in the future.
