Volunteering with Melanin in Medicine and CTS was a really meaningful experience because we were able to spend time with the kids and build genuine connections with them. We played games, talked with them, and had the opportunity to mentor and encourage them. I enjoyed seeing how comfortable the kids became with us and how much fun we were able to have together. This experience reminded me that community service is not always about doing something big; sometimes simply giving your time, being a positive role model, and making a child feel seen and supported can make a difference.
My community service experience with the Purple Hands Foundation at their golf tournament was a meaningful opportunity for me to give back and be part of something bigger. The tournament helped raise money for people in need, and I was able to volunteer and help the event run smoothly.
I enjoyed seeing everyone come together to support the same cause. It reminded me that community service is not always about giving money or supplies; giving your time and helping where needed can also make a difference. Overall, this experience allowed me to meet new people, support my community, and contribute to a cause that could positively impact someone’s life. It encouraged me to continue finding ways to give back and serve others.
Helping with Habitat for Humanity Family Day was a meaningful experience because I was able to give back while helping create a fun and welcoming environment for families in the community. I enjoyed working with others and seeing families come together and have a good time. Since I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity before, it was nice to continue supporting an organization that I am familiar with. This experience reminded me that community service can be as simple as giving your time and helping make someone else’s day better.
