About
Garden To Table empowers school communities with gardens and curriculum to engage all students in experiential outdoor education. Garden to Table's vision is a future in which gardens are an integral part of every school, fostering connection to nature, student health and wellness, academic engagement and achievement, and environmental and community stewardship.
During this opportunity, volunteers will beautify the gardens and garden area by weeding, some light harvesting (and tasting!). Volunteers would need to bring a water bottle, a hat, and wear clothes they don't mind getting dirty. Garden to Table will provide snacks and water refills, and sunscreen and the Volunteer Resource Center will provide gardening gloves.
Volunteers will meet with the Volunteer Resource Center on the South Terrace of the University Memorial Center and will be provided breakfast, ice breakers, and then we will be walking as a group across the street to University Hill Elementary.
