Be Involved Fair 2026 - Registration for Community Organizations

The Be Involved Fair is a signature welcome event at CU Boulder designed to connect new and returning students with involvement opportunities on campus and in the community. This event celebrates involvement and kicks off the new year with a fresh start of exploring interests and making connections!

Date: Wednesday, August 26th, 2026

Time: 2:00PM - 6:00PM MST

Location: Farrand Field

Attendance: 350 tables (30 community/non-profit organizations) will be selected for this in-person event. We anticipate roughly 3,000 - 5,000 student attendees.

How Selection Will Be Made:

1. Submitting an application does not guarantee you will be approved to table at the Be Involved Fair.
2. SLICE staff will review all applications and make final selections based on the availability of consistent and meaningful volunteer opportunities offered by your organization.
   
   1. Religiously affiliated organizations who offer volunteer opportunities that are not contingent upon participation in religious activities or practices may apply.
3. SLICE will notify you of your organization’s approval and information on how to pay your registration fee. This fee must be paid by July 13 to finalize your spot.
   1. Nonprofit organizations pay a fee of $30 to participate (this covers the cost of one 6' table, 2 chairs, and a parking pass to use on campus). If the cost is a barrier for your organization - please connect with our team.
4. After the registration fee is received, additional event details and communications will be shared by the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) to ensure consistent messaging to community members and student organizations.

Description of Event: Student attendees will be able to stop by your table located within a provided area on Farrand Field. Your confirmation email will provide information on where your table will be located on the field. Check-in will begin at 12:30 PM on Farrand Field.

What to Expect: If approved to table at the Be Involved Fair, confirmation emails will include what you should or shouldn't bring to the event. You should prepare an exciting display of what your organization provides students, alongside a well-staffed table. Due to food safety and waste-creation concerns we recommend avoiding food giveaways aside from pre-packaged or wrapped candy/small items.

What is Provided: If approved, we will provide one (1) six-foot table and two (2) folding chairs. Due to space limitations you will be assigned to a specific table and can not bring your own table/furniture.

What is Not Provided: Tents, Tabling materials (tents, poster boards, table cloth, etc), Access to power

Rain Site: In the event of inclement weather, our event may be moved indoors or delayed. Decision will be made and communicated on Monday, August 24th.

Special Notes: By applying it is expected that you have at least one member present at your table at all times between 2:00PM - 6:00PM MST on the date of the event. If you abandon your table at any point during the event, this will influence our selection process to allow you to table at future fairs.

Check In: If approved to table, groups are expected to 'check in' at their zones and with a CSI Staff Member (they will be wearing purple vests) between 12:30pm-1:30pm. If you arrive past 1:30pm your table will be given to someone on the waitlist. This is a strict deadline.

Information Session: There will be an information session in July so you know what to expect the day of Be Involved Fair. It is highly encouraged you attend. This information will be sent out in the confirmation email if you're approved to table or in the waitlist email if you're waitlisted.
