It was so fun! The children were so sweet! I got to help them do activities, like create paper airplanes for a paper airplane competition, help them complete homework, and spend time with them.

I really enjoyed my experience while I was volunteering for YELLS's afterschool program. While I was helping, the children were being taught and walked through the steps of hosting a community event. I got to help as they successfully created an idea for their event, went through the planning, advertising, and finding donations process, and they successfully created an event that exceeded their goals. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. If I ever got the opportunity to return, I definitely will.
