Today I helped the kids with their homework. I just helped lead them in the right direction, without answering away. If they finished early, we gave them an academic activity to do. It was nice to do homework with them today, it refreshed my memory.

My last day with the students and I was able to see them get rewarded for the work they did at the event they hosted. Mr. Issac is a great mentor and leader for them! The students are sweet. I enjoyed my time volunteering with them.

This day was very similar, the only difference was since their event for their food sale has ended the week before spring break, leadership returned back to their regular lessons. This week was about positivity and how it impacts the children. I got to assist during the ballon and stars activity and after that we moved on to homework as usually. Lastly We did any activity with rec and we ended the afternoon during dismissal playing freeze tag.

Today, we did breathing exercises with the kids. We talked about how their days went and what we could do to make our days better. We practiced different ways to calm down when we have a little too much energy. Then, everyone played a series of activities to help resale the built-up energy.

Today we talked to the kids about what the word gratitude meant, and ways to show it. We had them do a relay race to spell out the word thank you. After that, we took pictures and videos of them and then discussed what a donor is. Then the kids gave examples of what donors are.
