KSU Food Forest Volunteer Day

Volunteering at the KSU Food Forest was a unique experience that I felt good about doing. The people that led the learning and activities were knowledgeable about the plants and biomes there and I learned much as a result. I would definitely recommend working or volunteering here for anyone.

Worked on picking out and separating bad and good product at the Food Forest, including bell peppers, green beans, lunchbox peppers, and more. Afterwards, we worked on removing weeds from the area. It was rough when the sun came out near the end of the volunteering event but it was great to learn about how to tell between product and weeds and between good and bad product.
