Chicago Spring Half Marathon/10K

Overall great experience. As Gear Check Captain, things went pretty smoothly. Could have used more volunteers to help with gear check drop-off before the start as things got backed up. Also, many runners said they were not informed that they could not bring backpacks or other personal bags. This led to longer lines because runners spent time putting their belongings in clear bags, so maybe some more explicit instructions would be needed either in a participant guide or during packet pick up. Overall a lot of fun working with the volunteers in gear check and props to Sarah and the rest of the volunteer coordinators for being so well organized! Many participants said this year's gear check went much smoother than in past years!
